After Care: What to Expect After Your Colonic
How You'll Feel
Most clients leave feeling lighter, cleaner, and refreshed. It's also completely normal to feel a bit tired or notice some mild gurgling as your system settles. You may experience an energy boost, or you may feel like resting—both responses are normal.
In the first few hours: You might have minor cramping or gurgling sounds. This is just your colon settling back into its natural rhythm.
Bowel movements: Don't be alarmed if you don't have a bowel movement for a day or two. Your colon has been thoroughly cleansed and simply needs time to refill.
The initial hours post-treatment are less about seeing dramatic results and more about giving your body the gentle support it needs to integrate the cleanse. Hydration and rest are your two best friends during this phase.
Hydration
Hydration is your top priority. Drink plenty of filtered water throughout the day to replenish fluids and support your body's recovery.
Good options:
Filtered water
Herbal teas (peppermint, chamomile, ginger)
Unsweetened coconut water (natural electrolytes)
What to Eat
For the first 24 hours, be gentle with your digestive system. Focus on simple, easy-to-digest foods.
Eat:
Steamed vegetables (carrots, zucchini, spinach)
Clear broths or soups
Lean proteins (baked fish, poached chicken)
Soft fruits (bananas, avocado, applesauce)
Avoid:
Raw vegetables and cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower)
Dairy, fried foods, and red meat
Alcohol, coffee, and sugary drinks
Beans, legumes, and heavy grains
After a day or two, you can begin adding probiotic-rich foods like plain yogurt, kefir, or sauerkraut to support healthy gut bacteria.
Activity
Take it easy for the first 24 hours. A gentle walk is fine, but skip intense workouts. Let your body rest and recalibrate.
